Neighbor to Neighbor celebrated our organization’s achievements at our annual meeting held on July 28, 2025. 1,860 individuals were served by our organization in 2024.   56 volunteers shared 1,452 hours with us last year.  Sheila Petroni was presented with the “Lifetime of Service Award” for her volunteer service with Neighbor to Neighbor in Northern Door County since 1993.  Sheila manages the Northern Door medical equipment loan program and has been in that role since the opening of that site.  In addition, she has served on the board of directors since 2022, representing the Northern Door area.  Thank you to Sheila for her dedicated service with Neighbor to Neighbor and to the Northern Door Community!  Shown in photo (from left to right): Sheila Petroni, “Lifetime of Service Award” recipient, and Ann Bennett, Neighbor to Neighbor executive director.

Jimmy John’s Sturgeon Bay hosted a fundraiser to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor on July 16, 2025. $1.00 per sandwich sold on that date was donated to our organization, for a total of $372.00.  Thank you to Jimmy John’s Sturgeon Bay, and thank you to all who purchased sandwiches on that date!  It is much appreciated!  Shown in photo below (from left to right):  Ann Bennett, Neighbor to Neighbor executive director, and Felicia Olson, Jimmy John’s Sturgeon Bay manager.

Thank you to Just In Time Charitable Foundation of the Door County Community Foundation for their March 2025 Just In Time Cares donation to Neighbor to Neighbor.  Your support is truly appreciated.  Thanks, also, to Dixie Flinn for nominating Neighbor to Neighbor to receive these funds.

 

Nicolet National Foundation, Inc. made a donation of $500.00 to Neighbor to Neighbor at the end of 2024.  We thank them for this financial contribution and their continued support of our organization.  Thank you, also, to Cheryl Kohlbeck for nominating Neighbor to Neighbor for this donation. Ongoing Fundraising Opportunities

Econo Foods Receipts: Just a reminder to save your Econo Foods receipts.  Bring them to the Neighbor to Neighbor office at your convenience. A volunteer will add them up and turn them in to Econo Foods.  Econo Foods will donate 1% of the total to Neighbor to Neighbor.

Thrivent Choice Dollars:  Are you a Thrivent Financial member?  Once a member becomes eligible for the Thrivent Choice program, they can designate their Choice dollars to an enrolled charity.  Neighbor to Neighbor is one of those enrolled charities.  For more information, contact your Thrivent Financial representative.
