If you or a loved one is homebound, feeling isolated and lonely, and/or has no family in the area, Neighbor to Neighbor’s Peer Companion program is for you. Volunteers make home or telephone visits and offer a listening ear and a caring heart. Our volunteers can play board or card games, read to you, take a walk with you, or simply provide companionship. No nursing cares or household services are provided. All volunteers have background checks completed prior to their first visit with you.
Neighbor to Neighbor is not currently accepting new peer companion clients due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus and the Governor’s Safer-At-Home Mandate. All currently matched clients have been transitioned to telephone, e-mail and mail contact only and, for the time being, no face-to-face visits are taking place. We thank you for your patience and understanding. We will notify you when we are once again accepting new clients and transitioning back to face-to-face visits. Stay healthy and safe; stay home if you can.
